F1 in Schools - World Finals triumph

Our heartiest congratulations to the triumphant Olavian F1 in Schools ‘Team Electron’ (comprising of Kaylan, Moosa, Rohan, Nathan, Kavin and Virujan in year 11) who have been competing in the virtual World Finals of F1 in Schools over the last 4 days. 

Not only were the team nominated for the ''Verbal Presentation Award supported by Alfa Romeo Racing'' (top 3), they also won the ''Research & Development Award supported by McLaren Racing'' - the trophy for which, is made up of part of a Mclaren F1 car!

As a result of their performance, the team was placed 6th out of the 43 teams competing at the WORLD FINALS which is a fantastic result.

St Olave’s were competing against schools that have many years of ancestry in the competition.   Being up against teams that have had years to carefully craft, hone and develop their skills, illustrates the level of achievement - bearing in-mind the short time our team (Electron) have been involved in the F1 in schools competition.
