On Thursday 18th May 2017 Saint Olave’s took part in Outdoor Classroom Day, an event created by the London Sustainable Schools Forum, which aims to promote and celebrate outdoor learning. This is now an international project and schools from around the world took part.
The weather was kind and this selection of photographs show some of the ways in which students were able to enjoy learning in our beautiful school grounds.
Activities included: A year 9 Maths lesson with Mr Mowll. Students made their own clinometers and used trigonometry to calculate the heights of the school buildings; outside Art Lessons and Religious Studies with Mrs Beston considering how a new church would fit into the skyline of Orpington.
