The Royal Observatory at Greenwich was the final trip destination for Year 9 during Activity Week 1, and was marked by fantastic weather. Newton’s Laws of Motion provided the basis for an interactive workshop, and our students impressed the presenter with their knowledge. They were enthralled by the Camera Obscura, Meridian Line, Harrison clocks and the array of telescope. However the highlight of the day was the Solar System and Beyond presentation In the Planetarium. The presenter gave the students the opportunity to ask questions at the end and was tested a little more than he anticipated.
