13 Sept - Rivers of the World Project -Yr9

Back in July, Y9 students studying art took part in a two day workshop with external artist Josh Knowles as part of the Rivers of the World programme run by the British Council. They tackled the theme of ‘River City’, and after exploring and reflecting on local and global issues and perspectives produced a kinetic sculpture out of old plastic bottles to represent the different roles water plays in a City. This is now on display outside the Tate Modern alongside other schools from across the world that took part in the scheme, including Grace High School in Nigeria which our school has been partnered with for this two year project. The work will be on display until the end of the month as part of the Totally Thames festival.
