Our Year 13 Physicists achieved outstanding results in the recent Physics Olympiad. The competition requires the students to complete two extremely difficult (one student described them as tortuous!) examination papers that required knowledge way beyond the scope of the A-Level course. Special mention should go to David Evans and Josephine Jones, as they were the first St. Olave’s students in more than 5 years to achieve a Gold Award, placing them in the top 100 students in the country. Further awards included Leo Bennett (Silver Award), Christiano Da Cruz, Eugene Lee, Eric Leung (Bronze Award) and Commendations for all the other students. Congratulations to all students who gave up their time to undertake such a challenging test of their Physics.
