More questions than answers?
On Friday 27th January, the Religious Studies AS level students went to Bloomsbury Baptist Church for a fascinating Philosophy and Ethics conference. Julie Arliss, of King's College, gave an interesting overview of the philosophical and ethical issues surrounding the embryo, which are more complicated than at first sight. Later in the day, Arliss gave a second talk on Religion and Relativism and in particular whether Situation Ethics, a popular Christian ethical theory, can truly be considered to be a relativist ideology.
