Head of Finance
Full time, September 2020
NJC Point 46 – 48, Outer London remuneration
Closing date: Tuesday 23 June 2020
Interviews will take place as soon as possible after the closing date.
This is an exciting opportunity for a high-calibre candidate to join the team at St. Olave’s Grammar School. Under the leadership of Andrew Rees, Headteacher, and the Governing Board, the school has continued to flourish and is seeking the right person to join our outstanding school.
The Head of Finance is a newly created role, and this person will work with the Senior Leadership Team and Governors to support the new three-year strategic vision for the school which includes the building of a new AstroTurf, seek out fundraising and letting opportunities, and represent St. Olave’s externally and internally through our relationship with the Local Authority and the local community.
St Olave’s has an excellent team of colleagues to support the Head of Finance; we are very fortunate in this. As well as having a great eye for detail, the right candidate will be a naturally positive person, a clear and empathetic communicator, and a shrewd strategic thinker able to drive change. As befits the range of this role, we would expect as much passion for the day to day operations, compliance and procedures of the school, as we would the longer-term commercial ambitions.
Your experience may well be from within the schools’ sector or from other walks of life, such as charity or retail. The ethos and culture of St. Olave’s Grammar School is welcoming, community focussed and one where your skills will be allowed to thrive, and your effort and dedication will be appreciated by governors, colleagues, parents and pupils alike.
