In Year 10, the students move from four forms to five, with new tutors and Head of Year, who will stay with them for the next two years. This change allows the tutor groups to be smaller and provides opportunity for more one-to-one support during the latter years of KS4.
As well as the tutor, the Head of Year and Assistant Head (Pastoral) are proactive in offering monitoring and guidance to students. The School Chaplain and our on-site Bromley Y Counsellor are also available to all students for additional mentoring.
Students have an induction day at the beginning of Year 10 to ease the transition from Year 9 into Year 10, which includes team-building exercises to help students in the new tutor groups integrate. There is an information evening early in September to provide a further overview of the requirements of the GCSE courses as students embark on their second year of their three year GCSE course.
