St. Olave’s Grammar School offers an extensive range of facilities for hire in an inspiring setting that embraces our unique heritage, enriched with modern, secure facilities in our Grade 11 listed building, set within 20 Acres of greenery in Orpington with excellent transport links being be easily reached both by road, (Junction 4, M25) and by rail (Orpington Station).

Our priority is always to our students. However, we realise that by opening the doors to our school in the evenings and during the weekend, we can raise vital income to enrich their education whilst developing closer links with our local community and the surrounding areas of BR6.

Our facilities include: 

  • Floodlit, All Weather Pitch for outdoor sports including football, hockey, netball and rugby,
  • Brand new four lane, state of the art Practice Cricket Nets,
  • Hard surface tennis courts,
  • Beautifully maintained sports fields for outdoor activities including Rugby, Athletics & Cricket.
  • Indoor Sports Halls and Gym marked for a wide variety of sports including badminton, football, volleyball, basketball and Table Tennis.

The school is located in Orpington, Kent and can be easily reached both by road, (Junction 4, M25) and by rail (Orpington Station).

Public transport

When hiring our facilities out of school hours, visitors can use our entrance in Goddington Lane.

By Road:

At the [M25] Junction 4 roundabout, take the fourth exit (A224) to Orpington. Proceed for 2½ miles,  before taking the fifth left into Goddington Lane.

By Bus:

Buses serving Orpington Station and surrounding areas

By Rail:

Trains are half hourly from Victoria (34 mins.); frequently from Charing Cross (24 to 33 mins). 

On Foot: St.Olave's is situated a 1 mile walk of approx 20mins from Orpington Station. From Station Approach turn left down the hill and crossover to the right via the zebra crossing, past the Maxwell Pub, continuing down the hill.  Turn right into Tower Road and first left into The Avenue. Turn right into Sevenoaks Road and use the zebra crossing to cross over. Goddington Lane is second on the left after Park Avenue. Please note, Goddington lane does not have pavements for pedestrians, therefore please take care if walking. The entrance is 500 metres up the hill on the left.
