Impact of your Support

Whatever your child's passion or interest, they will be benefiting in some way, from the generosity of those who already support the St. Olave's Enrichment Fund. This fundraising allows us to enrich our curriculum and support the opportunities that challenge and develop students' achievements beyond the classroom.

The Enrichment Fund is used to invest in state-of-the-art technology, educational software, and learning resources that enhance the learning experience both inside and outside the classroom. The donation from this fund goes directly back into teaching and learning, and other co-curricular activities, paying for things such as additional iPads for your child in Science, MFL, Music and ADT, transportation to sports fixtures, sports coaches, investments in science equipment, books for departmental libraries, outstanding art equipment, a recycling machine for offcuts in ADT, refurbishment of the staging for productions and supporting our wide range of clubs and societies that we traditionally excel at such as Formula 1, Fives and Chess.

The Enrichment Fund relies on the generosity of parents and supporters.  All contributions, whether big or small, make a tangible difference to the academic success and personal growth of our students. The additional funds enable us to continually offer a wide range of enrichment programs, activities, and initiatives that support classroom learning, cultivates our students' interests and fosters a love of learning; ane investment that has a lasting impact on their future academic success and workplace suitability.

In May 2022 we completed the develop of a brand new All Weather Pitch which has proved invaluable in allowing us to expand the range of curriculum and co-curricular sport including hockey, football, tennis and netball as well as enabling recreational sport at lunchtimes for all year groups.  Our next aim is to develop  a Wellbeing Garden Project for students and our Cricket Nets practice facilities.

All these projects are made possible, thanks to the generosity of parental donations.

The School sends periodic updates to ensure that spending of the donations is shared with the parent body, and made completely transparent.

The conclusion of our Parent/Carers Survey in 2019 indicated that parents/carers were generally happy to contribute to the wide range of projects, activities, developments and opportunities the donations allow.  Although there is no formal recommended amount, many parents/carers felt that £50 per month was an appropriate figure for them to donate.

It is important that parents/carers understand that there is no obligation to make donations.  Any amount is welcome, and no student will be treated differently should their family choose not to contribute.

Thank you for your generosity and continued support of St. Olave’s Grammar School.
The following images provide a flavour of additional resources, equipment and refurbishments we have recently achieved thanks to the Voluntary Fund and also to our PA fundraising efforts.
