Olympic Swimming Trials success

Our congratulations to Srikar Namireddy who has been swimming in the Olympic selection trials over the past week. Overall it would be an understatement to say that this competition was a success. Srikar finished 1st in two of his events (200IM and 200 breaststroke) as well as finishing 2nd in the 100 breaststroke and 3rd in the 100m freestyle.
What is even more remarkable is that in the 200IM Srikar swam a time of 1:59:67 which just about secures him a berth at the world swimming championships in Abu Dhabi this Winter; qualification for a senior international meet, whilst still swimming in a junior age group is outstanding not to say the least.
We are so proud of him and wish him the very best of luck in future competitions.
