Thanks to generous parental donations to the Enrichment Fund, (formerly known as the Voluntary Fund) we are able to offer our Olavians the opportunity to engage in a diverse array of co-curricular activities, explore new interests and rise to new challenges beyond the classroom.
Without this additional income, St. Olave’s would not be able to compete as one of the very best state-funded schools in the country; the reality is that with increasingly tight government budgets, we are not a wealthy school and can only maintain our diverse array of clubs and activities through the generous support of our parents, Alumni and the wider community.
By contributing to the St. Olave’s Enrichment Fund, you will be having a direct impact on the experience and facilities we offer our students and ultimately the well-rounded adults they become.
Resilience and confidence is built when students are encouraged to challenge themselves, academically, artistically, mentally and physically. Our aim is to support them in exploring new interests and to develop their portfolio of skills and experiences alongside their academic endeavours.
Donating to the Enrichment Fund enables parents to support five distinct areas of school life:
- Academic Enrichment
- The Arts
- Digital Resources
- Competitive activities
Whether it is computing, politics, music, robotics, drama, sport, outdoor pursuits, or a host of other activities, we pride ourselves on the additional experiences and opportunities our clubs and societies provide. It is so often during these co-curricular opportunities, lifelong friendship and memories are made, and the famous Olavian “bleed purple” spirit is developed most strongly.
With increasingly tight budgets, this lasting impact on your children’s future can only continue with the ongoing support of Parents, Alumni and the wider community. We hope that, if you have the resources to do so, you will consider supporting the Enrichment Fund.
How can you Support Us?
Donations to St. Olave’s School Enrichment Fund are used to support the provision of a wide range of curricular and co-curricular activities at the school including our brand new All Weather floodlit pitch, and relieve the impact of overstretched government funding.
