On Wednesday 12th February, four St. Olave's teams travelled to Harlow College to compete in the London North Regional Finals.

The teams comprised of students from Year 9, competing in their first ever competition; to the more experienced Year 12 team who have are competing in their 4th season.

It was a busy event with 40 teams and fierce competition from a wide range of top schools with lots of F1 in Schools pedigree.

After a good day of competition the teams were hoping for positive results in the awards ceremony as they had put in a lot of dedication and commitment over the past weeks, attending multiple after school and lunch time sessions.

Across the three classes of competition, (Entry - Teams Blizzard and Bolt, Development - Phoenix Motorsports, Professional - Tori Veloci) the school achieved 3 x 1st places, 3 x Best Engineered Cars, 2 x Fastest Cars (narrowly missing out on the third by 0.001 seconds).

The teams have done exceptionally well and were commended by F1 in Schools lead Tom Milner.

Phoenix Motorsports (Y9) and Tori Veloci (Y12) are now through to the National Finals in March, alongside Hyperstorm (Y10) and Blitz (Y10) who earned spots at the London South Regional in January.

Well done to all involved, we are really proud of you!
