DofE Silver Practice Expedition 2025
During the last week of October, a group of Year 11 and 12 students ventured to Braggers Wood and New Forest to complete their Duke of Edinburgh Silver Expedition practice.
Despite the rain and wind, this is what some of them said to have enjoyed the most about the experience:
"I like the scenery and the wild horses. It was worth it because it was unfamiliar and we got see lots of wildlife tracks. We learned a lot from Darren about birdwatching and human's impact on wildlife."
Kithav
"My favourite thing was spending quality time with my friends and playing card games. This experience has built our problem-solving skills as we got a bit lost, and increased my confidence and trust in my team"
Pranat
"I really enjoyed the wildlife (specifically horses) and the landscape"
Ilya
"My favourite part was the fact that I was outdoors with my friends instead of being home on my phone."
William
"The thing we enjoyed the most about this experience was friendship, challenge, teamwork and nature, and it fostered my ambition to grow as a person"
Rory & Samarth.
