Hugo appointed Deputy Chair of the Bromley Youth Council. 

Congratulations to Hugo Maxwell in Yr. 11 who has recently been appointed Deputy Chair of the Bromley Youth Council. 

We are delighted to share Hugo's reflections on his appointment with you:

Last week, I was elected the new Deputy Chair of the Bromley Youth Council, so I will assist the chair of the council in running meetings, campaigns and events over the next year. We are about to take on a new cohort of over 60 members, and over two-thirds of schools in Bromley will now be represented, so this is a really exciting year for the council. I have also just been elected as a new member of the London Youth Assembly (a forum for representatives from different youth councils across London to collaborate), so I am really looking forward to attending meetings up at City Hall and working with a whole range of different people.

Each year, our Youth Council has two foci for its campaigns, and this year they will be Mental Health and Bullying - as chosen by young people in the borough a couple of weeks ago. I am excited to work on these projects over the next year.
