Cambridge Schools Debating Success

On Saturday, Year 13 students Trija and Aidan competed in the finals day of the Cambridge Schools Debating competition.

They pitted their skills against teams from as far afield as Hong Kong, Ireland and India and debated topics ranging from ‘This House prefers a world with no restrictions on immigration’ to ‘This House, as a talented 15 year old aspiring idol, would choose to become a K-Pop trainee’.

They not only managed to get through to the State School Final round, but also won St. Olave’s the award for ‘Best Newcomer’.
