DofE Practice Expedition

The Year 12 students completing their Gold Practice Expedition in Bannau Brycheiniog (formerly known as the Brecon Beacons, Wales) this Easter break were very lucky with the weather.

They had glorious sunshine every day, enabling them to see some fabulous views. The mountainous terrain made the walking challenging, but all students developed excellent teamwork and all have been recommended for their assessed expedition.

The expedition leaders commented on the enthusiasm and resilience of our students, describing them as a delight to work with!

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the students on their achievement and to thank the supporting staff who made the trip possible - Miss Foster, Miss Wade, Dr. Carpenter and Prof. Carpenter.
