GCSE Science Live!
On Friday 23rd January, Year 10 students attended the GCSE Science Live! event in London. The trip provided an exciting opportunity for students to experience science beyond the classroom and to hear from leading scientists and communicators who brought GCSE science topics to life.
Throughout the day, students listened to a range of engaging talks linked directly to the GCSE science curriculum. A particular highlight for many was Professor Jim Al‑Khalili’s talk on time travel, which explored complex ideas in physics in an accessible and thought‑provoking way. Students were enthusiastic and clearly inspired by the real‑world applications of science discussed during the event.
The students were well‑behaved at all times and represented the school positively. Overall, the trip was both enjoyable and educational, helping to motivate students and deepen their interest in science as they continue their GCSE studies. Thank you to all the staff who made this trip possible for our students.
