Two record breaking athletics achievements

Not satisfied with beating the record once, Ricardo Cervera has broken his own U15 1500m record whilst running in the South of England championships. He smashed his previous record by several seconds, recording a score of 4 minutes, 17.83 seconds and finished 8th in the Final.

For the U13s Akul Gurunathan has also beaten a record – surpassing the previous 800m record which had stood for over 40 years. Akul ran an exceptional time of 2 minutes 09.80 seconds whilst competing at Southern track final, and was racing in the U14 age group.
