Well done to Year 12, Eythan, who founded a charity called Youth United for Good, which has already raised over £3000 for malaria research, treatment and prevention and have educated
thousands of young people about the concept of effective giving.

Youth United for Good is a student-led non-profit organisation transforming everyday fundraising activities into life-saving contributions. Guided by the philosophy of effective altruism, the project focuses on causes that are important, neglected, and tractable.

Eythan (together with seven other ambitious young people) works with schools to organise events such as bake sales, non-uniform days, quizzes and school concerts to fundraise for various charitable causes. This year, they are working with UK schools and universities to support the Malaria Consortium, one of the world’s most cost-effective and highest impact charities.

Their network includes over 70 students, including more than 50 schools and two universities, LSE and Oxford. With a far-reaching presence, the student network spans three countries: the UK, the UAE, and the USA.

Youth United for Good also runs school assemblies and workshops on effective altruism. This includes a presence at a UKYP conference and at the Bromley Youth Council. The non-profit organisation also provides advice and consulting for young people who want to undertake ambitious social action projects both in their local areas and with Youth United for Good’s partner charities.
