Cambridge Biology Challenge (2025/2026)

Congratulations to our 25 Year 12 Biology students who took part in round 1 of this year’s Cambridge Biology Challenge. The results have just been announced, and once again our students have performed very well. Nearly 2000 students from across the country took part.

5 teams achieved Distinction, 2 achieved Highly Commended and 2 achieved Commended for their submissions on the following topic:

CAN NEW LIFE BE CREATED?

Entries could be in any form including essays, posters, videos and audio. 3 teams also achieved badges of merit for their research on specific areas including ‘Yeast Snowflakes’, ‘Directed Evolution’ and ‘Miller-Urey’.

Special congratulations go to Heshma, Kason, Shrutik, Isabel and Hanna who were the overall winners in the ‘Most Entertaining ’ category. Krishnavi, Gabriel, Ashvin, Prashi and Rohan were runners up in ‘Best Video’ category and Morgane and Angi were runners up in ‘Most Original’ category.
