Artist of the Week - 27 Feb 26
7B Artists: Akshadh, Alistair, Aarar
This term our Year 7 students have been exploring abstraction inspired by the work of Paul Klee. Students used local landscapes as a starting point, and moved away from realistic representation and abstracted their scenes into shapes, forms, colours and lines. Through this process, students focused on expressing emotions, ideas and experiences rather than depicting the physical world exactly, creating thoughtful and highly individual artworks.

7L Artists: Goktug and Kavish
Year 7 students have been working on a cross curricular project with science. Students were challenged to design a completely original alien life form — but with one important rule: it had to make scientific sense. Drawing on their learning about cells, adaptation, habitats, and classification, students carefully considered how their organism would survive, move, feed, and reproduce within its environment.
