On Wednesday 11th March St. Olave's netball team travelled to the annual Eltham Netball Tournament. The weather was pleasant and many of the girls enjoyed seeing friends from the nine other schools on the courtsides.

The umpires and staff were made aware in the arrival briefing that a scout was in attendance from semi-professional sports club London Pulse, which surely contributed to the very high standard of game play from everyone throughout. St. Olave's lost their first fixture 2-5 against Royal Russell School, but won their second fixture 8-2 against Dartford Grammar School for Boys.

They lost their third game 2-10 against Caterham School, but won 5-4 against the hosts Eltham College. Sadly the tournament started late, meaning one of our shooters had to leave early for a driving lesson before our last match, where the team met Royal Russell again and had to play with only 6 players, losing 2-11.

Overall St. Olave's were runners up in the shield. It was a fun day out for all involved. Many thanks to Sue Ellis, as ever, for umpiring the matches, thanks to Mrs Attwood for driving the minibus and scoring the matches, and huge thanks to Eltham College for continuing to invite us to their annual netball tournament.
