Year 9 GCSE Geography Ashdown Forest fieldtrip

Four classes of Year 9 Geography students went to Ashdown Forest last week to complete two days of field investigations, looking at the flow and channel characteristics of the River Warren as part of their GCSE Geography course.
They were fortunate to have great weather, and demonstrated good teamwork whilst collecting their data, whilst included measuring the velocity of the river using a variety of rubber ducks!
Having procured the required data, students brought their investigations back to the classroom to record and produce an analysis and conclusion for their GCSE coursework. Congratulations to all for an excellent day of work in the field. The following give a flavour of their activities:
