Successful Olavian Rocket Launch!

During the Easter break, Year 10 student George successfully launched his home‑built 1.4‑metre rocket Horizon at the East Anglia Rocketry Society launch site.

Constructed from a carbon‑fibre airframe with a 3d-printed nose-cone and fins, the rocket reached an altitude of around 350 m powered by a motor producing approximately 4 kg of peak thrust.

This flight was George’s second qualification flight, bringing him closer to achieving his Level 1 High‑Power Rocketry certification later this year.
