Artist of the Week - 22 April 2026

Medhansh Gupta 7C (mountains) & Kathir Vignesh 7L (flowers)
Over the Easter break, two Year 7 students spent time creating some fantastic artwork, showing real creativity and commitment outside the classroom.
Art is a great way to develop creative thinking, express ideas, and take a moment to slow down and focus. It’s brilliant to see students using their time in such a positive and inspiring way.
We would love to see more students sharing their artwork—whether it’s a sketch, painting, or digital piece. If you’ve been creating at home, bring it in and show us what you can do!
Seb Harvey 8B
Seb has produced this excellent portrait of a family member as his entry to the Royal Academy Youth Art Summer Show. He has mixed skin tone with skill and considered his composition to make a strong connection between the subject and the viewer. The judging results are drawing nearer and we are optimistic that there will be an Olavian entrant (or more!) amongst the exhibited works.
