Knight-Stokes Cricket Cup - May 2026

Last Thursday the U15 teams played the first round game of the inaugural Knight-Stokes Cup against Ravens Wood School. Played in glorious weather at Bromley Common CC it was set up to be a great afternoon of cricket. St. Olave’s batted first and thanks to some strong batting from the top order, we managed to post 213/2 from 20 overs. Captain Aarav Gupta top-scored, retiring on 55 but he was able supported by fellow opener Ned Freeman (43), Aarav Gupta (40) and Raiyan Haider (38).

Some good batting from Ravens Wood saw them score 135/5 in reply after a strong opening stand. However late wickets from Anish Ghosh and Anishraj Kotni as well as a tight spell from Aarav Gupta kept them at bay.

With many of the players knowing each other the game was played in friendly but competitive spirit and was a fitting start to the competition. Good luck for the next round!
