Artist of the Week - 12 May 2026

Elias Year 9

Year 9 artists recently completed a task as part of their end of year assessment. We have been focussing on Illustration this term, including the co-curricular day based around Lewis Carroll's Jabberwocky. Elias chose to work in the style of Eric Carle to create a collage of an ice cream cone. He then developed his composition using Procreate, creating this summery scene with a rather intriguing narrative.

Year 8

This term, students are exploring mythology through an exciting collaborative 3D art project. Inspired by mythical creatures, they are designing and building large-scale sculptures using everyday materials. The images shared show the initial Modroc models before painting begins, offering a glimpse into the imaginative forms taking shape. Alongside developing practical making skills, students are also creating Bestiary entries to bring the stories and personalities of their creatures to life.
