Artist of the Week - 5 June 2026

7B have recently concluded their project focused on the Pop Art movement and produced digital responses to the work of James Rosenquist. Rosenquist began as a commercial artist who hand-painted advertising billboards, taking these compositions into his collage style paintings that were a reflection of contemporary times.

Akshadh, Arty, Felix and Akshaj have embraced this lively style to make their own compositions using adverts from the present day. The mix of texture and line make for highly engaging works.

Arjun applied his understanding of Russian Constructivism to create an impressive cardboard sculpture, which will inform and inspire his future print designs.

He also demonstrated strong photographic skills by using photo editing tools to enhance contrast and deepen shadows in his work.
