The second half of Year 10 recently completed their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh expedition in Sevenoaks, and we are delighted to report that all students successfully passed. The expedition proved to be both a challenging and rewarding experience, with students demonstrating exceptional resilience, teamwork, and determination throughout.

Weather conditions on the Saturday were far from ideal, with persistent drizzle and periods of strong wind testing students' ability to get their tents up (and Miss Difford's!). However, the students rose to the challenge admirably, maintaining a positive attitude and supporting one another despite the difficult conditions. All were grateful for a sunny start on the Sunday.

A highlight of the weekend was the celebration of several student birthdays. Friends came prepared with cake, candles, and plenty of good cheer, creating memorable moments and reinforcing the strong sense of camaraderie within the group. Francis' harmonica rendition of Happy Birthday was especially entertaining.

The expedition also showcased outstanding teamwork in more challenging moments. When one student sprained his ankle, his peers responded quickly and effectively, applying an ice pack and, ultimately, helping him reach the finish line by piggyback.

It was a pleasure spending time with such a fantastic group of students, who consistently impressed with their excellent navigation skills, good manners, resilience, and positive attitude. They should be extremely proud of their achievements.

Thanks go to Mr Jewson, Mr Carroll and Mr Twose for giving up their time so generously to support the expedition.
