YR9 French exchange: the return leg

We warmly welcomed the group of French exchange students who are spending this week in our English partners’ families. They were met again, but this time at St Pancras, by their English partner in Year 9 and their parents on Wednesday 17th June and have been enjoying our usual English weather since then.

They have attended lessons all day on Friday, walked to Big Ben, via the Horse Guards and 10 Downing Street, had a picnic in St James’s Park, attended “Mamma Mia” the musical, the Natural History Museum and spent the weekend in their Olavian host families.

They will attend a cricket workshop in Bromley and also take part in a double Games lesson at school before their return to Bondues, on Wednesday 24th June.

Just as our students benefitted greatly from a total immersion in the French families for a whole week during AW1, in terms of language confidence and adapting to a different way of life, the French students will also go home full of happy memories.
