Bromley SPEAKOUT! Final 2022
Rishi and Tanish in Yr 10, took part in the Bromley regional final of the Jack Petchey SPEAKOUT! Competition at Hayes School earlier this month.
This was an excellent opportunity to hone their skills as public speakers and mix with other like-minded students from across the borough. Making a speech is a nerve-wracking task for many, but good preparation for future life. Competitors were assessed on the delivery, content and structure of their speeches.
Rishi spoke on mental health awareness; delivering a lively speech that ranged through Einstein and Kit Kat eating to losing a family member to dementia. Tanish spoke about artificial intelligence, its dangers and possibilities.
Both acquitted themselves very well and visibly grew in confidence throughout the preparation. Well done to both for their hard work and dedication!
