U12 Cricket Triumph!

Congratulations to the Yr 7 cricket team who played two finals last Thursday 29 June – the Kent Plate and the Bromley Cup.

We bowled first in the Bromley Cup and, in helpful overhead conditions allied with some fine catching and fielding, managed to restrict the St. Lawrence to just 45 before bowling them out (2 wickets for Ned Freeman, and 3 apiece for Aarav Gupta and Aryan Singh).

The early loss of captain Aarav Gupta when batting was a blow, but Raiyan Haider (19no) and Darsh Prakash (9no) ensure a comprehensive 9 wicket win.

The Bromley Cup was against Ravens Wood and again we fielded first. We were chasing 115 to win with the wickets shared around the team, it was rewarding to see so many players getting wickets!

Captain Aarav Gupta hit 51 before being retired in the run chase, Moury Vora’s 30 was instrumental in getting us over the line for a 8 wicket win.

Well done to all involved – a long, but great, day!
