Year 8 Oxford German Olympiad Success

The German department is delighted to celebrate the achievements of pupils in year 8 who took part in the German Oxford Olympiad in March. It is a very prestigious competition and a number of our pupils wowed the panel with their entries. We would like to congratulate in particular Rugved Gogawale in 8B, Said Belguesmia in 8B, Kanishk Ghanate in 8L and Zaid Siddiqui in 8H.
Rugved and Said created their own Brettspiel (board game) for four players and explained how to play it. Rugved's entry was a runner-up which is a tremendous achievement and Said's Ludo entry was highly commended. We are very impressed with their efforts. Rugved's entry can be viewed here Der Dschungel Brettspiel
We would also like to praise Kanishk Ghanate and Zaid Siddiqui who produced comic strips about their favourite sportsperson. Kanishk's entry actually won, so we are all incredibly proud of his brilliant achievement. Nonetheless, Zaid should be praised for his excellent effort as his entry was highly commended.
Huge congratulations to Rugved, Said, Kanishk and Zaid. Their fantastic efforts and creativity have shone through and we are all so proud of them. Kanishk and Rugved have been invited to attend a special event in London to commend them for their brilliant entries.
Fantastische Arbeit!
