International Physics Olympiad result!

We were thrilled to congratulate Ojas Tiwari, who left Sixth Form in 2024, taking a Gap year before commencing Oxford this term to Study Physics. He spent some of his time during his gap year qualifying for and achieving a place on the UK Team, in the very prestigious International Physics Olympiad, in which he achieved a Silver medal.
We have received the following from him:
"Over the summer, I represented the UK at the International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) in Paris, where I was delighted to win a silver medal!
The competition brought together over 400 of the world’s top young physicists from nearly 90 countries. I was thrilled to be part of the UK team, and I’m proud to say that every member of our team came home with a medal.
The IPhO itself was a challenging but incredibly rewarding experience. Alongside the competition, we also had the chance to explore Paris, with visits to the Château de Versailles, the Orsay Museum, a cruise on the Seine and visits to research labs, and even two talks from Nobel Prize Winners! We also interacted and made memories with lots of other teams, and it was a great experience meeting like-minded people.
I’m really grateful for all the support and encouragement I’ve received along the way - including the inspiration and guidance from teachers such as yourself, which have been a big part of my journey."
We wish him continued success and enjoyment at Oxford.
