Sheffield University French & Russian Translation Competition: we have a winner in each language!!

Many congratulations to Franklin Baron (Year 13), MFL prefect who took part in this competition recently and to Alisa Rybalkina (also Year 13) who each endeavoured to translate a passage in French and Russian respectively.
Each of them is one of only 10 winners nationwide in their chosen language. They will receive their certificate in a Year 13 assembly and a £25 Amazon voucher from the Sheffield University MFL Department. They have also been invited to attend a Translation Workshop online, organised for all winners across various languages, to be held on Wednesday 7th December after school.
It takes a lot of flair and sensitivity to translate with panache a passage which has already been translated by professionals. Well done indeed!
