Artists of the Week

Year 7 – Ved

For homework, Year 7 students recreated their favourite artwork in their sketchbooks. Ved chose to recreate Hokusai's famous piece, The Great Wave off Kanagawa. His work is a fantastic example of creativity and careful observation.

Year 8 – Goktug 

Year 8 has begun studying portraiture. Goktug’s work explores identity through images of hobbies and interests surrounding the head, which he will later develop into a self-portrait.

Year 9 – Jasson

Year 9 has started an urban landscapes project, experimenting with charcoal. Jasson’s work demonstrates a strong use of chiaroscuro, effectively creating contrast through light and shadow.

Year 9 - Ishaan

Ishaan has been working on an independent sketchbook and this is his favourite outcome so far. Ishaan has been exploring colour, pen and using existing images to create his own composition. This is a fantastic piece that creates an impact.
